Jared Spool
Usability researcher and founder of User Interface Engineering (UIE). I've disagreed with him on search: his Customer Sieve article concludes that search only suits known-item searching. My view is that search results should be designed as a browsing environment when people don't know exactly what they want. See Wikipedia.
